So You Want West Wing Sounds, Eh?
The
Sounds
Fans of NBC's Emmy Award© winning drama The
West Wing have their favorite lines of dialog. The West Wing forum
on Television Without Pity even has a thread on their forum called "He
said it right" where people post their favorite lines from the show.
[No monkey] Some of us even have
clips of our favorite lines assigned to system events on their computers.
What can I say? We're a fun bunch.
I've compiled a collection of sound clips from
the show.
These clips are the result of my own love of the show, my work, and (some
may say) my own insanity. Whatever. The clips are sorted by season
and listed by the show in which they came from. Each clip shows the character
speaking as well as what the line in the clip is.
In the coming weeks I'll be adding clips from other sites, thanks to the
kindness of their webmasters.
Are You Having Problems Accessing The Clips?
You may finding that this site is going offline almost daily. This is
due to the fact that I have a limited amount of bandwidth I can allow you
to suck up every day. With over 240 MB of files and a daily badnwidths
on each of my serves, you can imagine how quickly it gets used up. Switching
to mono clips will help allow more people to get more clips, but I am trying
to upgrade to a paid account with my hosting company but my budget is extremely
tight. Please accept my apologies for not allowing everyone to enjoy my
files more quickly. I'll try to find a way to reward you for your patience,
because I know not even the clips I am making available will truly say
thanks the way I want to. All of my clips are now back online.
About The Clips
Each clip is in now recorded at 44,100 Hz and in
16-bit mono, and the clips are sorted by season and listed by
the show in which they came from. I have also added a thumbnail of what
is going on in each episode, and I have tried to include the secondary
plot lines for each story to help you remember what happened in what
show. Each clip has the dialog spoken in the clip (except for some of
the longer clips).
